Work well

I picked up this set of earplugs not sure how they would get used in our home, but hoping they would. So far they are just sitting in the small cases they came in. My oldest plays in a pop punk band and I thought maybe he might use them for practice, to help protect his hearing while he is jamming with the guys or while he is in the garage banging away at the drum set, but he said he prefers to not use anything. So I thought perhaps my middle child would use them during swimming, since he complains about water in his ears every time. But he claims he doesn't like the feel of them. So then I thought maybe I could use them to help drown out some of the annoying evening noise we have. My son always goes out to the garage to practice his drums after dinner and the 3 year old decides she has to sing at the top of her lungs as he plays, so it is impossible to hear anything during that hour of constant noise. I find my nerves quite frazzled during that time, so thought maybe they might help me cope a little better. But I struggle to use earbuds, so earplugs bother my ears as well. I must have a smaller ear canal or something because inserting anything in to my ears bothers them horribly. So at this point, they are not being used and were a bit of a waste of money for me. But at least we have them if somene DOES decide to use them. You get two sets of earplugs, orange and blue. They each have their own small case to store them in and a velvet drawstring bag to store the small cases in, along with a velvety wipe to clean off any earwax or gunk after use. They are a nice set of silicone plugs, just not something my family is taking advantage of and something I personally find uncomfortable in my ears. For that reason I did not rate them a full 5 stars.
