Instructions are clear, the little handheld device is not super loud.  My dog doesn't get scared.  Keeps a charge... Easy to charge with USB, and has different applciation methonds as the picture shows.  instructions are clear.  this is a very sleek nice device and easy to trim my dogs nails now so he doesn't scratch us up.  5 star.
