I used this on all 3 of my dogs. They each took a little bit of time adjusting to the machine. Battery opperated lightweight and easy to hold on to. It is not loud so that helps. Once everyone was ready we sat there and they let me file down the ends of the nails just fine. The 3 different grindig areas work great for all the different sizes of nails. It is powerful and takes off a nice amount at a time and will heat up quickly if left in 1 spot for a long time.
