I got these hoping they would work on our German shepherd and unfortunately they did not cut well through her nails. The file worked great on both of our dogs. I did use the clippers on small pit bull and it worked great on their smaller nails. I would have given this a 5 star except they did say it was for medium to large dogs and this did not work on a large dog very well at all.
