These headphones were defenitely built to last. The sound and qulity is awesome. The headphone base itself feels to be made of metal and the are very heavy, yet light when the bud sits in your ear. The recipient of sound never complains that they cannot hear me.  I am very satisfied with this buy and have actually bought a pair for each of my children and I have six total.
