I wanted a way to stream my downloaded movies on my camping trip from my phone. I was skeptical that I could do it without buying an adapter from Apple. I was told nothing would work but Apple. This works and works great! It came with a cable but I used my Apple cable and my HDMI cable. You must plug a lightining cable in as well as the HDMI to power the adapter. I followed the instructions on the box and on the Amazon posted description and connected it to my phone. My movie was playing in no time and I had happy kids!
