This lightweight straightener goes to work right after you plug it in and turn it on, be sure to add the water prior. I gave less stars on it because the compartment door where the water holder goes to for steam broke the first time it was opened. It needs to be a more durable placement there for this not to happen. It does work, so that part I am happy about.
