We have two small dogs that we keep in a cage while we are gone and sometimes it is for several hours, we have found that we are not able to leave water or food in the cage as they make huge messes with the bowls and contents.
This bowl is just the right size for food and water. It has two snap hooks on the back of the dish to hold it onto a cage secure and keep the bowl from falling or being torn off by your pets regardless of if it is a tiny critter or a bigger one.
The top of the dish is rounded and has a small lip all the way around the inside to hold the contents in the bowl without splashing out or spilling out while your critters are eating or drinking from it.
It is made of a nice thick durable plastic that won't crack or break easy if dropped. The top lip of the bowl comes off for easy cleaning and snaps back on good. I like this bowl so well that I am going to purchase another one so I will have a water bowl and a food bowl in there for the times we are away for long periods of time.
