There is a nice long wooden handle on the back and body brushmakeing it over 15" long. It is wrapped on the handle with a nice soft  hemp rope so you can keep ahold of it as the soap and water run down. The brush head is a nice size circle of 3.5" and it is full or boar britles. The bristles do help remove unwanted layers of skin but it is recomended to presoak the brush and soften them some.
