I actually purchased this not for a dog, but for my little rescue kitten who seems to want to rough house with us all the time. We hoped this would give her something to play with and she has such a fun time gnawing and pulling on the fleece tips. When she is finished, sometimes she will relax on the mat. The mat has held up so far and we look forward to watching our kitten spend many hours with this toy in the future.
