I probably would have rated this a 3 1/2. We use this product daily as we have dogs and they track in a lot of dirt and they shed. I wish the ends of the broom had a little bit more of a feather texture to sweep up find pieces of dust( it is a stiffer nylon texture). You have to lock and angle the dust pan just right or the dirt will be brushed underneath and you have to repeatedly back it up and push the dirt in. Overall I like the product
