I got this because I don't lime the kind of car mounts that take more than one hand to use. I prefer a magnet and to be able to just set it and forget it. This is the easiest type of car mount I have ever used. The magnet has to be on the outside of your phone case to work typically or just buy a magnetic phone case like I did
