I got this for my cat but he has shown little interest in it but it is made extremely durable! There would be no worries of it being damaged by paws of claws of any sort. I've been using this under my laptop as a cooling pad and this summer on my seat on the really hot days, I just tossed it in the fridge for a while before using it and it kept me cool and comfortable for quite some time. Super easy to wipe up and keep clean, I can see this coming in handy for multiple uses.
