I needed something to hold my phone while on the computer. This metal stand works perfectly! The wire can go behind the back and plug into your phone. But, what I wish it had, is a way to keep the plug attached to the stand, that way it does not fall out or pull out from the stand. This is metal, which makes it heavy to hold on to a tablet. There is a small grip on the back of the stand. Keeps the phone from sliding around. On the bottom, there are 4 stoppers so the stand does not slide around. Overall, very happy with this stand.
