This mat pad has straps on the back to make sure it stays in place on a cot. It can be put on the floor of tent and it would stay in place because of the gripping on the back. It is light wieght and comes with carrying bag. It says it Not machine washable. So I am not sure how I am going to clean it, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it. This also can be used as a blanket too. It is brown in color.
