The pillow cover was pretty soft and washable. The length and the thickness of the pillow are just right for me as an adult on a daily usage. Do prefer a little thicker if for travelling so I can rest my neck. The velcon was completely covered by the cover; hence, it's not sticking out and poking my skin.
