This is just what I needed for my elderly husband.  He got a new phone but hated the new headphones that  came with the iphone 7.  This adapter goes into the lightning jack and allows him to plug in his favorite Bose headphones again.  That old dog didn't want to learn any new tricks, so this was just what I needed.  No more complaining about the new fangled crap!  lol
