Batteries we needed for Christmas

Every year it's the same thing: kids open their presents then invariably need to run to store for batteries so they can use their new toys. Not this year! We bought this 40-pack of good quality AA Philips batteries for $18.99 and these will really come in handy. These are about the same cost as at big-box stores, but they are delivered to your door Prime. Can't beat that!

We have tried rechargeable AA batteries, but they just don't have the capacity for today's remote control cars and other toys. Alkaline batteries, such as these, seem to last much longer and keep us from having to replace them constantly.

One note: Amazon shipped them in a padded envelope so the white box was destroyed, though the batteries themselves made the trip just fine. I guess that's why they invented sandwich zip bags.
