I got a nice practice pad for my kids to learn beats and drumming and was pleasantly surprised by the nice quality of these sticks. They are made of hickory and are light enough for use on a practice pad. I like that they come in multiples of 3 sets so they will not run out too quickly. Hopefully this will help them both with learning rythym. I am happy with them.
