This is an AC-operated disco light that changes color. It says it can change colors with the beat of the music. That only happens if you have very loud bass!
It does spray multi-colored fractals all over the ceiling and walls, which drove my kitties and doggy nuts! We will probably end up using it at school for dances, graduation and such as well as family gatherings.
