It allows my son to use his gaming system and he can also use the USB ports to charge his devices so it saves space and he doesn't have to worry about not having enough outlets. The six foot cord is nice and gives you plenty of reach so you can place it where you need to. I am really happy with this USB power strip and it's definitely worth getting if you are looking for a product like this.
