The stand was folded to its small storage size inside the box. Once I removed it from the box the stand was very easily adjusted to fit the size that we needed for my sonsacoustic guitar. This music stand is exceptionally sturdy, I was really impressed with how light weightit was while still being extremely sturdy and well made.
