Great for laptops

I bought this item for a laptop that Microsoft screwed up. Long story short I allowed them to go into my laptop and so call did it. I ended up with no Windows and no internet capability. I got Windows re-installed but didn't want to by anything relating to internet because it is an older computer and I didn't want to put money in it. I bought this WiFi adapter due to it looks really beat and the functions may be a save for the computer. I was right. My son can now get back on the computer and surf the net. It is not a super fast connection or what I had. It is an inexpensive fix to no connection at all. I am glad I ran across this item and was able to get my son back online to do his school work.
