As long as  you have the solar charger in the sun during the day, you are going to have really cute lighting in your outside plants or decorations.  The lights are very delicate but bright!  It's really nice to have lights that I don't have to worry about changing the batteries in or turning them off and on.   You can put them in a lantern or jar, but the battery pack need to get sunlight during the day.  I prefer putting them in a planter because I can just put the stake in the plant and it blends right in.  Nice string for lights!
