I needed some extra light out front of my house near my steps and this works great. I have mine low to the ground so when anyone comes near the steps leading to our front door it turns on (even when low to the ground it gets triggered around 6-8ft). The light itself is very bright and does a good job at lighting my steps up with out the need of hard wiring a light out front.
