About a year ago, I purchased the Apple iPad 5th Generation in Space Grey. It's now the second iPad that I've owned since I've purchased my first one -- the Apple iPad 3rd Generation. With both iPads, I never purchased a screen protector since I figured that I wouldn't necessarily need one (at least for the first couple of months). With the iPad 5G, I've owned it for more than a year now with minor scratches, no cracks or major damaging. This is quite surprising as this is the same year that my son was born, and it became "our" iPad as time passed. It has seen better days as it's been dropped on the front, the back, and even on the corners. Yet, it hasn't cracked at all and I'm very excited about that. Now, he's a bit rougher and a screen protector seems not too bad. With that said, this very screen protector from WengTech is everything that I've expected plus more.
It fits my iPad 5G like a glove with plenty of room for adjustment if need be. In addition, it's compatible with the following iPads:
- Apple iPad 6th Generation (2018)
- Apple iPad 5th Generation (2017)
- Apple iPad Pro (9.7-inch)
- Apple iPad Air 1st Generation
- Apple iPad Air 2nd Generation
I tested the screen protector with normal daily use from myself and my son. This includes browsing the web, searching through social media, playing games, listening to music, and everything in between. With the inclusion of a few kicks from my son's feet as he becomes quite cranky on basically any road trips. Luckily, the screen protector is precision-cut with a durable coating to take such abuse. They call it "High-Tension 9H Hardness Glass Construction" while I call it "Baby Proof 2.0." With such technology, it further withstands impact and protects against scratches and smudges.
At the end of the day, it's a screen protector that I truly love and will continue using till the very end. It was an easy installation of no more than 10 minutes, as it included everything necessary to install it with no bubbles or dust beneath the screen protector. Since I've installed it, I can't even notice that I have it on anymore and neither can my son *Two Thumbs Up*.
