I have a large dog so this is a really big help for me. I know do not have to worry about my dog staying on the leash while in the car or jumping arougn while I'm driving. It buckles into the car buckle. It is not that awkward to handle for a normal walk either. the leash in padded at the handle and has a bunge cord built in for pulling at arm strain protection.
