I’m a retired professional nail artist. But I still like to play.
I was pleasantly surprised with chrome powders. They go on very nice. No splotchiness at all. And one coat of chrome was all I needed. I’ve had some “high end” chromes that required two coats.
The shine is really nice and doesn’t “disappear” when you top coat it. (Yes I’ve had that happen with other chromes in the past).
I did use a gel made specifically for applying chrome powders.
1. Apply one coat chrome gel
2. Cure
3. Apply the chrome powder (I used the included applicators) Rub/burnish in with gentle even pressure. No need to use a lot of pressure. Just make sure to have enough chrome powder in your applicator.
4. Make sure to dust off any excess chrome powder (I like to use a make up foundation brush)
5. Apply another coat of the chrome gel
6. Cure
7. Apply a shiney top coat
And lastly, it may seem like there’s not a lot in the jar but believe me, there is plenty. It will last you a while.
I hope they come out with more colors. I will definitely buy them. You can’t go writing at this price point.
*for reviewing purposes I did one nail with just regular no wipe gel top coat and it worked fine. (It’s the lone green nail picture I posted)
