This is great.  You get a keyboard plus a protective pad.  The keyboard connects easily to your ipad.  I highly recommend this.  No more pecking on the screen to type.  the keyboard is the way to go.  My wife complains all the time that it takes too long to type on the keys on the screen.  This extra keyboard solves that problem.  It feels now like a laptop.
