I have not open this yet as this is a gift. It arrived way earlier than expected. It's in a nice red box and looks easy to open the shell. Love that it comes with earrings and a ring along with the necklace. So the pearl can be switched between the ring and necklace. The metal for the ring, earrings & necklace are not high quality so if your sensitive to certain metal I would check before buying.
