Looks good but does not work

We broke the little home button ribbon cable and needed to replace the original home button on my granddaughter's iPhone 7. This unit looks exactly like original but DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. I would send it back except for the fact that we completely reassembled the phone and have no desire to R&R the device again. We used a work around using a feature called Adaptive Touch, otherwise the phone would be completely useless. Well, there goes ten bucks down the john! Apple sucks
