As gorgeous as the iPhone X is, it’s very prone to danger like nobody’s business. So, we decided to suit it up with this minimalistic case. All in all, it’s a match made in heaven with a price less than $15 (Amazon). But, what makes this an ideal must-have case is the fact that it adds protection, removes worries, and showcases the X’s true beauty.
When I had simply the case itself, I felt that the build quality was on-par for an accessory of this price. It’s made of flexible, shock-proof TFU and durable aluminum. With further inspection, I noticed that the case was aluminum around the sides and edges; while there were a few flexible pieces of TFU around the joints. This included the top radio bands and the lighting port at the bottom. Everything else was built with solid aluminum and quite durable, indeed.
The company, APOETIO, states that the textured pattern inside the case is composed of special material that makes it non-stick, anti-scratch and fingerprint-proof. Alongside, no inclusion of their logo whatsoever. *thumbs up*
As a father, I had to test it reliability, so I handed it to my nine-month-old for a little fun. With his new teeth coming in strong, he chopped away at the case as if it was a chew toy from the store. About five minutes later, I picked up the case for better examination. Shockingly, I didn’t see a single scratch, cut, or teeth mark on it. That’s quite impressing as my son can easily chomp through food of any texture. Nevertheless, it survived the test with flying colors.
I’ve been talking about the case and how it has everything that you would expect a case to be. Except, it’s more of a bumper rather than a case. Let me explain. Starting with the fact that the back cover is removable. It’s simply a back panel made from PC material that ensures protection whenever you place your iPhone on its back. The panel is anti-scratch proof with a cut-out for the camera and flashes. We didn’t experience issues when capturing photos with or without the flashes.
I honestly love this case and everything about it. It’s simple, elegant, modernly priced, and protect my iPhone quite well. The only flaw is the fact that it’s simply a bumper with a plastic panel on the back; therefore we didn’t do a drop test as we predicted that the iPhone would shatter into hundreds of pieces. *Cringe* Otherwise, it’s a must-have case for the minimalists.
