It makes the switch much more comfortable for bigger hands to hold when playing in handheld mode. You might need to get a bigger case/pouch if you wish to travel with this still on your switch. It will not fit in the majority of the clamshell hardstyle cases as it does add a little more bulk to the unit. You CAN'T dock the switch while this is on the handheld. It has vent holes across the back so that air can get to the unit for cooling. It is made out of a very durable thick poly material.
