I am really happy with this product. I bought these and a new scratching post for the basement which seemed to help. The shields were enough of a deter her from scratching anywhere else. The edges of two upholstered chairs were taking a beating from two young cats. They are also not very noticeable. If your cat scratches in just one spot, this will probably work for you.
