My dogs hate getting their nails cut, and I hate cutting them because I am always afraid of hurting them. Usually I end up taking them to the vet, or letting their nails get too long before cutting which causes other issues. I decided to try these and am really happy that I did. Though my dog still tried to pull away a little, it was possible to cut his nails without hurting him. My female bites her nails so we just use these to sort of even things out on her. The nail file in the handle works especially well for this. Since we have both lefties and righties in our household, this works great as it is the same on both sides, so lefties don't have issues with it. I also have issues with my hands going numb or hurting if I put too much pressure on them, so these handles work really well for me. They are both comfortable and ergonomic.
