I spend a lot of time in the kitchen making food - dinner, breakfast prep for my husband, goodies for the kids for after school, baking... And with that, I need a good way to view my recipes. I typically use Pinterest as my source for recipes, so am always on my phone or tablet. I saw this tablet stand and thought maybe that might be a decent way for me to easily see my recipes and keep from spilling things on it while making stuff.   The stand arrived quickly and was simply wrapped. It had no branding or specific information with it. I was a bit surprised at the simplicity of it all. There wasn't even a name on it to tell me who the company was that was selling it. And no instructions were included in the package. I am not sure if I got a returned item that did not have things in it, or if this is how the company sends out all tablet stands, but it is a bit lacking in the marketing area.   The stand itself is not what I expected. It does as it is intended to do, but it is very basic. It is nothing more than thick wire-like bars that set up to hold your tablet. There are not rubber stoppers on the bottom to keep it from slipping, nothing to help hold it in place other than itself with the weight of your tablet. It folds in on itself for storage, and has knobs in the middle to help lock the brackets in place when unfolded. The bottom bracket is curved upwards to hold your tablet, but other than that, there is nothing more to say about the design. It is very simple and basic.   Unfortunately, I won't be using this in the kitchen with my tablet. I use my tablet in the upright position when baking, not landscaped. And in the upright position, the stand is simply too wide for my tablet. I cannot prop my tablet on the bottom bracket to hold it. My tablet is about 4 1/2 inches wide, but the stand is 5 inches, so my tablet does not reach all the way across and falls through. I would have to prop the tablet on the counter and use the top of the bracket to support it in an upright position, hoping my tablet does not fall during my cooking time.   The only way I will be using this is if I use my tablet in the landscape position to watch a video or something. I may use the stand to display a picture frame or something instead, but otherwise I am not sure it is going to get much use in this household.   Be sure you measure your tablet before buying so you don't make the same mistake I did. It seems like it would be a functional stand and the price is not bad, but I won't be using it myself.
