My car is much cooler.  I live in the South and it gets really hot in the summer!  These help keep my car a little cooler and I assume help preserve the upholstery since there's less sunshing hitting it.  They are large enough to cover the front windshield but they fold very easily and fit back into the little bag that comes with them.  I'm please with my purchase.
