You need one of thoes shower extending hoses as there is no hose included just the spray head but it should thread right in where the shower head does on the extender.  The sprayer has a handle on the back makeing it easy to hold. It pretty much just rests between your fingers. The sprayer is also a massage head made of silicone so you can scrub down into the fur. With the scrubbing nubbs and the running water you can get a deep clean.
