Could be better....

I got this for my boyfriend's new bird bath thinking how nice it will look in it. Which it does, don't get me wrong, that is until a cloud comes along and blocks the sun light. At that point the fountain literally stops. I'm extremely surprised at the fact that no solar power can be stored to generate enough power so the fountain can continue to work if a cloud passes by. 

I'm by  no means an electrician or anything close to it and what I'm thinking seems like a simple idea could be very complex. 

Other than that we've thoroughly enjoyed this fountain.
