During the winter months I wear socks all the time. You never see me without socks on, even at bedtime. After my shower, I dry off and put my socks on. So I wear out a lot of socks quickly because I am constantly wearing them without shoes and walking around inside (and sometimes out to the trashcan on the side of the house without shoes or slippers over them). I am always on the hunt for good socks that will last.

I didn't pick these up for the fitness aspect or compression benefits, though I like both of those options.I got them because I know from other socks I have gotten that sports and athletic socks are usually thicker and more padded, therefore last longer. The only problem is they are usually more expensive as a result. Better quality, higher price. This pair alone is sold by itself, one to a pack, for nearly $13.

This set of socks comes with only the one pair of socks, but you can choose from three different colors - pink and grey, blue and orange, or black and red. All of the color options also have gray heal and toes.  The Amazon listing and the packaging says nothing about what they are made of, so I can't list the materials here to inform you of their make up. They wash up great without losing their shape or shrinking up. The socks are done in a mesh design that adds a ventilation aspect in order to control moisture, keeping feet cool and dry while exercising. They have compressing elastic around the arch that is supposed to support your feet and help relieve pain and discomfort while running. It helps aide in circulation, reducing any fatigue or swelling.

I do NOT like the fact the care instructions says do not tumble dry. I always put my socks through the dryer to make them softer and to dry them out. I don't use fabric softener in my wash, so when I have to hang to dry, things don't feel as soft, especially socks. But the instructions say not to do it because you will lose the elasticity in the arch support and the compression benefits won't be as great.

Here is the sizing guide from their listing on Amazon. It is done in US sizing:
S | Shoe 3-5.5 M | Shoe 6 - 8.5
L | Shoe 9 - 12 XL | Shoe 13 - 16

The socks fit me fine, conforming to the feet nicely and are very comfortable. The compression is not too tight or binding, so it doesn't annoy me when I am sitting around the house working on my website or reviews like this. They keep my toes warm and the compression actually helps with any swelling from sitting with my legs dangling. I opted for the size large and am glad I did because anything smaller would have been quite tight on my feet.

I think these are great socks, though I wouldn't like to pay that price and hate buying socks by the pair. I want to buy a pack of socks in a bundle of three or more, at a discounted price if possible, rather than one by itself at a higher rate. But the socks are well worth the price and are thick and comfy. And my feet haven't sweat in them at all when around the house or in my tennis shoes. They have when I was bike riding and was sweating all over, but they did a great job of keeping my feet cool. Definitely worth picking up a few pair!
