These solder joint connectors work great. But you do have to be careful when melting the solder as it's a small amount and you want to make sure you don't melt or burn the surrounding sleeve. I used this to connect and waterproof seal my wiring to my outdoor stereo system. For what you get and how easy it is to use, I would recommend this to others who have a need to connect and seal wires together
