Sticks strongly to the dashboard. However, the magnet is not strong enough. I put the metal piece inside the iPhone case (so I don't have to stick it permenantly), and usually with other holders that will be fine, but with this one that doesn't work. Probably need to stick the metal piece to the case from outside.
