Have two little puppies so I was going to need these sooner than later. They work quickly as in how quickly the lock locks the leash and releases it. Not too long unless you have an aggressive or super hyper dog. Also not too short that you feel like your dog and you are stumbling over one another. Works as expected and I'm happy with it.
