Easy to use but a pain to open in a rush

I am always collecting carabiners and things like this for my boys for camping and Scouting activities. I saw these and picked them up for the boys to add to our massive collection. They are perfect for tossing in your pack so that you have them to hold things together, loop rope through, suspend your water bottles from, etc. Just keep in mind they are not meant for climbing, so will not support that much weight and should not even be attempted for climbing purposes. But they work great for keeping smaller things together. They are a bit too big and clunky to be used as a key ring, though. The keys won't fit over them and they would be awfully heavy in your pocket. So these are going in our Scout supplies drawer for the boys to grab when they are getting prepped for a campout or hike. I think they'll get used, but maybe not as much as the easier to use carabiners that simply open with a push and don't take the twisting to unlock it first and then push it open. But they are well made and durable regardless.
