This lighter works by using a rechargeable built-in battery and dual criss-crossed arcs. It works even in strong wind. It is waterproof, as the entire lighter is enclosed in a water-tight clamshell case. It includes a neck lanyard and USB charging cable.
I quit smoking, though I have been on the hunt for an electronic lighter I could carry in our emergency bag in case we need to 'bug out' unepectedly. This lighter, being rechargeable and water-tight, is perfect for our emergency kit. According to the instructions, it should not be used for more than 10-seconds at a time due to possible heat damage. However, it should be enough time to get kindling started.
