Decently Good Microphone

I recently aquired this microphone to help with my Youtube videos. Upon recieving it I was thoroughly impressed by its all metal body, The fact that it came with two different cables so I could use this with a DSLR and my cell phone, it also came with a shock mount and a fluffy noise supressor. To top it all off theres even a storage bag to keep everything tidy and makes for easy transport. 

The fluffy windscreen slides over the mic, which clips into the shock mount...you can place the shock mount into the hotshoe of  your camera or use the threaded plug on the bottom to mount it to a tripod or accessory. Setup is failry easy in that all you have to do is plug the cable you will need into the micrphone and then into the source. There is no batteries so it requires a source such as a phone or camera to power it up. Once your all set you can begin to record. 

After havjng did a few recordings I listened to the playback and I was kind of disapointed. Yes this did block excess noise and heavy breathing, but it did so at the cost of a normal to loud recording. I had to use software to enhance the volume of what was recorded. I thought this was a fluke and tried using 2 other sources to record from and different cables, but sadly I came to the same conclusion in that this mic just records at a lower volume. 

Now it is still worthy of using and I would reccomend others to use it as it does a great job of blocking wind noise and reducing excess background noise.
