I expected that the devide would be loud, but I didn't know it would sound like a bomb!  It starts with beeping, but if you don't  turn it off, the beeps come faster and faster until it sounds like a bomb building up to go off.  It has four seperate compartments and four seperate alarms.  I'd buy another one, and I may get one for my daughter and one for my mom.
