This is good for people who have medium to large dogs. I tried this on my small dog and he did not do well at all. Asked a friend to bring over their dog and worked great. Not only did it slow him down from eating so fast he stayed entertained for awhile because we hid treats mixed with his regular food. The bowl itself is a thick plastic material. more weight then it looks. So honestly if you have a smaller dog don't get this one. But the concept of this bowl is amazing.
