At first I was going to give this three stars. I tried to initially cut  a pear with the Crinkle cutter and it didn't cut smoothly. Once I did get it cut and cut the smaller pieces it worked like a charm. So I recommend cutting the potato, fruit or veggie with a knife first, then use the crinkle cutter to cut the crnkles into your food of choice.
