These are very sticky. I haven't used any of them perfectly verticle. I have on on the dashboard of the vehicle and another on the dashboard of the treadmill. They hold the device in place really well. You have to pull to get the device off the pad but it doesn't make it sticky. What I like best is if it gets dirty or dusty and isn't sticking well, just wash it in the sink and dry it and its sticky all over again.
